Précision sur l'inscription :	Inscription : Mre Bénigne Chasot / Ch[er], Sg[r] de Congy Broussy / C[r] du Roi en ses Cons. / reçu Pr Président / du Parlement de / Metz le 17 Janv. / 1717. Mort le 17 / mai 1723.
Précision_sur la representation :	Le magistrat se présente en buste, de face, la tête à peine tournée vers la gauche. Il est coiffé d'une ample perruque dont les longues boucles retombantes se répandent sur l'épaule droite et couvrent en partie le large col de fourrure blanche qu ienveloppe le haut du corps en laissant entrevoir au-dessus de l'encolure le départ du rabat du costume. Sous le front dégarni, l'expression de la figure est altière, l'ovale très régulier se terminant sur un menton arrondi, bien en chair. Les yeux étirés en amande se logent sous des sourcils arqués avec élégance se raccordant à un nez allongé, quelque peu busqué.
