Historique :	La tradition y voit un souvenir de Jean de Maillane des Porcelets, évêque de Toul et abbé commendataire de Saint-Nabor (1582-1624), ce que confirmerait la date inscrite au pied de la croix. Cependant, la facture de la sculpture suggère une datation aux débuts du 16e siècle.
