Historique :	Provenance tréviroise, semble-t-il. Le Bon Dieu de Pitié a été fourni en 1580 par l'abbaye Saint-Mathieu de Trèves pour l'ossuaire de Koenigsmacker. Il fut transporté à la chapelle en 1743, à l'occasion de l'agrandissement de l'église paroissiale qui fit disparaître l'ossuaire, installé d'abord à l'extérieur, puis en 1793 à l'intérieur de la nef du petit édifice.

Précision_sur la representation :	Assis sur un banc recouvert d'un manteau, le haut du corps tourné de trois quarts pour permettre au coude gauche de prendre appui sur l'accoudoir du siège, le Christ, nu, ceint d'un pagne, tient sa tête, relevée, sur sa main gauche, le regard lointain pointé vers la droite. La main droite, entravée au poignet opposé, saisit le haut du bras gauche. Sous la couronne d'épines, l'ovale de la figure s'encadre d'un collier de barbe qui rejoint les extrémités retombantes de la moustache. Les pieds sont noués à la hauteur des chevilles par une corde étroitement serrée dont les extrémités du noeud pendent sur le pied gauche. L'expression du visage est plus sereine que douloureuse ; la musculature des membres est vigoureuse.
