Description :	Autel latéral Sud, retable avec statues de saint Sébastien et deux évêques. L'architecture tourmentée de l'autel accuse la verticale. Le retable est monté sur un gradin ornementé sur sa face. Il est coposé d'un ordre corinthien de pilastres et de colonnes, ces dernières galbées et ceintes en spirale d'une étroite guirlande. Placée de biais et décrochée en avant, la corniche se découpe au-dessus d'elles en dés. Elles encadrent une niche peu profonde cintrée dans laquelle saint Sébastien est présenté. Flanquant le tout, deux saints mitrés sont juchés sur des socles ornés. Au-dessus de l'entablement s'élève, buté à ses départs par des angelots nus, épaulé par des consoles renversées une sorte de tabernacle très déchiqueté sommé par une croix. Le tombeau est rectangulaire, avec un médaillon en son milieu.

Historique :	Le maître-autel a été réalisé par l'atelier des Guldner, sculpteurs à Berus. Cet atelier travaillait beaucoup pour l'abbaye de Wadgassen.
